M*A*S*H Slash

Thanks to everyone who has offered to help with the zine. You are the greatest. Huge thanks go out to digitalruki, whom I somehow dragged into drawing the cover. I've been making a lot of progress, and am hoping to finish it soon. I'm waiting for confirmation from only one more writer (A.V. Meren, where are you? ;-) and when she responds, we're done with the lineup. I need 5 volunteer editors for the zine. There are 5 parts to edit, and who ever responds/e-mails me first has the first dibs on the part they want. Below is the list of the pags in each part. Just write/post which part you want.

1 – 26 pages (claimed)
2 – 42 pages
3 – 40 pages
4 – 31 pages
5 – 36 pages (claimed)

There haven't been very many essays submitted, so I'm extending the call for them again. The essay doesn't have to be very coherent, just to cover some themes in M*A*S*H slash you think are important to the fandom. I would be really, really thankful for one. *begs* Also, a question I would like some input on - should I include a page with actual slashy M*A*S*H quotes? I've thought about it and decided to ask you guys. And now, here's something to help prod rave rants to be included in the zine. Answer either of these 2 questions, in however many words you need. (so we can have a nice ranty page in the zine.)

ETA: The general consensus so far calls for a quotes page. Thus, post your favorite M*A*S*H slashy quote here, and feel free to use "As Us Butch Guys Say At The Front" to check on the correct wording of the quotes from earlier seasons.

Anyways, it's that time of year...

I am trying to get the M*A*S*H slash zine out again.

I finally secured a distributor, and my brain has returned from its hike, since I have just finished much fun related to my BA thesis. So it might work. Related to the zine, I am looking for Invicta and Jazz Man. If you know them, please let them know I need to communicate with them. I still have some space, mostly for fan art. Anyone volunteering art which might fit any of the stories will be thanked a lot. Short poems/limericks are also needed as space fillers, so if you have some good old dirty limericks/poems, dig them out.

I was also wondering if anyone has seen some essays on M*A*S*H slash/slash fandom, or at least some musings on the topic. I've dug up the M*A*S*H slash zine idea again (for the five-millionth time...) and if someone knows of any good essays or could write one in the near future, I will be forever indebted to you. If you can't write an essay but have some ideas on the topic that you want to share, it would be great! Some possible topics to think about include the relative youth of the the M*A*S*H slashers (this seems to be the only fandom where I, at 21, am not one of the youngest slashers around) and the prevalence of slashy angst over sex in stories.
