I checked the rules and it's not forbidden :)
I know this is not directly related to the show, but maybe some of the writers would be interested in joining? :)
Thank you!

Hi, group. I was looking at all my research, and I thought some of this stuff might be interesting to you readers. I've got pix that "illustrate" the Gentleman Doctors series, and I'll share with you my research that helped me accurately depict what life was like for Hawk and Beej in pre-Harvey Milk San Francisco.

Hope it's okay to post this here, but I've got a bit of writer's block and have set up a self-challenge over at my writing journal.
If you'd like to challenge me to write something for you, prompt me over here.
Thanks!

Okay. For those of you who don't know, along with M*A*S*H I am an avid Pokemon addict.

SO.

I restarted my Pokemon Crystal version and decided to start a M*A*S*H-themed team.

What ended up happening are the following things:

1.) Me looking too much into things
2.) Me realizing I know more about Pokemon mechanics than I should
3.) I spend too much time playing Pokemon. :c

Observe the current results of my 'labor'. XD

'OMG FRANK STFU. *hyper beam!*' 'O SHI-' )

Something I've been meaning to share for a while, my new bumper sticker:

I bought it at cafepress, but I think whoever was making them shut their shop down, because I can't find it again :(

been reading 'Out of the Past: Gay and Lesbian History from 1869 to the Present', which is very very good. there's a bit in the World War 2 chapter than amused me MASH-nerdishly ...

The US military informally channeled identifiably gay GIs into a variety of stereotypically homosexual jobs - [...] men served as clerks*, medics**, hospital corpsmen***, chaplains' assistants**** and female impersonators in musical revues and morale-boosting shows***** (someone show me how to do footnote tags on lj)

* Radar and Klinger
** ... everyone (medics doesn't EXACTLY equal doctor, but still)
*** Radar and Klinger again, also Mulcahy
**** kind of Klinger, although I think him helping Mulcahy isn't part of his job - he just likes to. it's an odd and very background pairup, but it's there a lot, and it's very cute. (it makes me think of the Janitor and his Todd-Ted-Doug braintrust on Scrubs ... minor character solidarity!)
***** Klinger AGAIN

I don't know how much the army changed between WW2 and the Korean war, and obviously not everyone in those positions was gay, but amused I was and amused I remain. Mash is teh gay

ATTENTION MASH SLASH COMMUNITY!
FLASH!
IN THE MIDWEST THIS THURSDAY A SLIGHTLY-SICK YOUNG WOMAN ATTENDED A STAGE PERFORMANCE OF THE PLAY "WHITE CHRISTMAS", ONE OF THE STARS OF WHICH WAS UNKNOWINGLY A FORMER DASHING M*A*S*H CAST MEMBER, NOW A CURRENT CHARMING STAR OF THE MUCH LOVED CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCE!
When asked about the incident the still ill women had this to say, "I was looking at the program and saw a picture of the General in the play, a very familiar picture and do you know who it was? Charles! I had a fever of 99.6 and I could barely stand for more than two minutes at a time but I could have jumped right on stage and threw my arms around him if I wasn't so close to death,"
The evening and performance passed without such an incident occuring but the surprise in itself sent this unsuspecting stage-viewer into near hysterics. More updates on this fasinating story will be reported if the young woman in question ever becomes well enough to get out of bed.

Alright, enough silliness, by now you might have guessed that the person in this fake news flash is me, but it's true! I met him! I met him! I met Charles! Okay, met is a strong word, but he was probably 100 feet from me! It was him! It was him! Here. In no-good, run-of-the-mill Minnesota! I couldn't believe it! I still can't! I saw him! I was so close to him! Oh my god it was incredible! I tried getting back stage, I tried, but I was seized not only by security but by the sudden fear and realization that if I were to meet him I might run the risk of giving him my cold! I was torn!
I just had to share this amazing experience! It was Charles! In the flesh, alive, right there, I nearly cried, in fact I did. It was a great play too. I somehow slept better that night too, not only from all the Niquil but from the fact that I had seen such an iconic figure and that he may have been sleeping in the very Hotel 8 by my house, though I doubt it. I really had no idea he was in the play. Why is it when one is encountered with a movie or TV star it's like you're meeting a god? Should I have tried harder? Should I have fought my way backstage? I don't know if it would have been possible, but it was an exciting experience nonetheless. And even if I'm not the biggest Charles fan it's cool to think that he's been in the presense of, worked with, even touched, some of our other MASH favorites, like Alan and Mike. Well, I'm still sick, and all this typing's tough, so i''ll call it quits, but thanks for your time. Good-night, Gracie.
