Though I might as well introduce myself. I've been a lurker on here for quite some time, reading all the archives. I've been a fan of M*A*S*H for as long as I can remember, and a fan of slash for even longer XP

I'm looking for a beta for my first ever fanfic. Would anyone be interested?

Edit: as suggested.. my pairing is BJ/Hawkeye, from Peg's POV. Also, it's relatively short, around 950 words (or 2 pages in Word)

Stupid me just realized that I never have introduced myself. I've been part of the Yahoo group for a while, but I just recently got involved with LJ. My OTP is Trapper/Hawkeye, but I love to write any Trapper pairing along with the occasional Frank fic. I'm starting to tolerate Hawkeye/BJ, but only for Hawkeye's sake. I'm also kind of looking for a Beta Reader if anyone's interested. I need someone to make sure that I've been able to capture the characters and my stories ring true. I've been working on a few fics here lately, so hopefully I'll be able to post some soon.

Beta needed

one that is familiar with the Jewish culture and religion. I have five short stories of a Sidney Freedman/Hawkeye Pierce series. With two more short stories to go. All of it is from Sidney's point of view. The one story I'm most worried about is the fourth, 988 words long, where Sidney explains how his faith has grown and changed over time. I definitely need someone to read through that and make sure what he says rings true of someone who is Jewish. The others have only a brief mention of Sidney's ancestry and I'm not too concerned about having them read over, but I would still love to have someone go through them.

So, anyone willing to read over the fourth in the series to make sure it rings true? Reading the first three is not necessary as it could be a stand alone story easily.

Would you also be willing to read the others I've already typed up?

I have a piece that I've been tearing apart, re-writing and being angsty over for weeks, for the [livejournal.com profile] hashbash challenge. I was hoping I could get somebody to beta it for me, because I have the sinking suspicion it might really need it.

Hi. I've got a bunch of questions. I'm looking for some help. I've scoured the internet and couldn't find anything on my own (or maybe I'm just stupid). Might as well just ask.

I really hate asking, I'm insecure as hell and not worthy, but really - I'll love you forever. If it matters, it's attempting to tackle challenge #8 - the smut/fluff one -with an element of #4 - the "caught" one - thrown in for good measure, and Hawkeye/BJ.
3. We know from "Welcome to Korea" that BJ is 28 upon arrival...and Hawkeye is a couple years older? So, um, where would Trapper fit into that, age-wise?
4. Um, I forgot what I was going to say. Please disregard this number.

I looked through the userinfo and didn't see anything, but if I wasn't supposed to ask #2 like this, I'm sorry. Yell at me, delete, whatever needs to be done.

1&3 (and probably 4 if I could remember what it was) imply that I really haven't spent a whole lot of time watching seasons 1-3, which is sort of true (I've seen all season 1, most of 2, and none of 3). And that I should probably stay away from trying to write Trapper. I promise to light my notebook on fire if it gets really ugly and I realize I'm committig bad!fic.

If I were to do some series work would

posted the chapters on list and kick my behind about falling behind
if need be?

I intend on writing it out completely before posting it bit it would
be nice to have someone on hand to look at it and say "This is crap,
don't post" or "change this" ect. Usually I don't worry about it this
much but I will be writing my very first graphic sex scene and would
like some err, guidance, to stop me writing something stupid.

If you say yes I'll send you the end of the story (the only part that
is actually written so far)
