Summary: Why does Charles dislike Hawkeye so much?
AN: I don’t really like this; it only took me like five minutes to write. I don’t think it flows very well. Meh…oh well…

Charles disliked Hawkeye.

As soon as Charles arrived at the 4077th he knew he would never completely get along with Hawkeye. He was rude, crude and (in Charles’s opinion) a complete cretin.

Then there was BJ.

Charles didn’t mind BJ as much. Sure he was also a drunken cretin but he was polite to Charles most of the time (except when he was around Pierce). He was actually quite good looking too, especially with that moustache.

Charles had been attracted to men before, but not like this.

When he was around BJ he felt abnormally happy, regardless of whether they were being friendly or not. But Charles knew that he would never get to be with BJ.

Because BJ was with Pierce.

Charles had never actually caught them together but there had been subtle hints. Like the way they sat just that little bit closer at meal times. The way they would exchange glances in OR. And of course their ‘friendly’ touches. A hand on a thigh, a shoulder on a shoulder.

Yes, Charles disliked Hawkeye.

But not for the reasons people thought he did.
