Well, here's my contribution! ^^

Title: Reality
Rating: Hard R, we’ll say.
Summary: Father Mulcahy needs someone to chase away reality.
Pairing: Hawkeye/Mulcahy, implied Hawkeye/others
A/N: For the [livejournal.com profile] mash_slash fic swap organized by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] teapot_yo. This is for [livejournal.com profile] janecarnall. Anyone else, if you're squicked by Mulcahy!smut, I wouldn't read on.

It’s supposed to feel good.

It does, Mulcahy reflects, in the physical sense. It feels wonderful. Kissing Hawkeye, touching Hawkeye, feeling Hawkeye, being taken by Hawkeye - all of it drives him to a very high place, indeed; a place where thunder booms, lightning crashes, and stars explode.

Afterward is a different story. After it’s over, and Hawkeye has left, he’s alone and reality has the opportunity to sneak up on him. He’s a priest, Hawkeye is Hawkeye; what is he doing? He’s throwing away his dreams for a little bit of pleasure that isn’t going to last. Afterward, every time, he resolves that it will end, that it will be over, and that he’s just had his last time with Hawkeye.

But then, Hawkeye will come back the next week, he will kiss him sweetly and passionately, and he will be gentle and tender and John Mulcahy can’t bring himself to tell him to stop. He’s a priest, but he’s a man; he has desires and needs, and for some reason, Hawkeye knows how to fulfill them. Hawkeye knows where to touch to get him to moan with abandon; Hawkeye knows how to use his mouth to drive him insane; he knows how hard to push his fingers into the smaller man’s opening to get him to cry out; Hawkeye knows how hard to thrust, when to speed up and when to slow down; Hawkeye knows how to make him come. Hawkeye knows how to drive away reality.

The problem rests in the fact that each time they are together, the aching in John’s heart and soul increases. Father John Patrick Francis Mulcahy knows what he is doing is wrong, that it is against his vows, and even one part of his beliefs; he also knows that he is falling in love.

It is excruciating, sometimes, having his heart, soul, and body all continuously warring with each other. One wants him to stop it before he gets hurt even more; one is yelling at him to stop it because it’s wrong; the last wants the other two to shut up so he can go on with what he’s doing. It leaves him tired and confused, and he’s getting sick of it.

All of this because of one man, Hawkeye Pierce, with his charm, charisma, shocking blue eyes, and endless compassion. The man who can look him in the eyes and make his heart beat faster, his soul doubt that anything like this can be wrong, and his body to heat up all over. The man who can then look away, or give the same look to BJ or Sidney and make his heart shatter, his soul start berating him again, and his body to shiver.

For now, though, all John can do will be to hang on and ride out the last bit of pleasure he gets from it. Maybe he can handle it for a little while longer. Maybe he can ignore the constant battle inside himself for a little more. Maybe he can hide from reality for another stretch of time.

Soon, however, the pleasure won’t be able to override the pain.

And then, even Hawkeye won’t be able to drive away reality.

-End

Enjoy! ^^
