So. I actually wrote Chawkeye. Blame
hawkeyesmartini for encouraging me. 'Tis all her fault. ^_^ (She also is mad awesome because she looked it over for me, so props to her and her evil-yet-goodness.)
Title: Life
Rating: PG
Summary: Charles’ POV. Life shifts rapidly. How long before the next shift in Charles’ life?
Pairing: Implied Hawkeye/Charles
Disclaimer: I own nothing, this is just for my own twisted amusement.
Life is very peculiar, sometimes.
It changes abruptly without notice and it expects you to be able to keep up. Always unpredictable, you shall never know where it will take you next, and that is precisely what makes it exciting; that is what makes it stimulating.
I went from Boston to Tokyo to Korea all so quickly. Life swept me along carelessly, seemingly unconcerned with how I fared. Of course, Winchesters are able to adapt to any circumstance, so I was never worried.
Until recently.
There are some uncontrollable things I can tolerate, such as my indeterminate stay here in this wretched hell-hole of a country; however, there are others that I would wish to never have to deal with, such as my somehow romantic feelings towards someone for whom these feelings should not exist.
Hawkeye Pierce.
Yes, him.
This troubles me, as I am unsure if I am accurately describing what has happened over the last few months. He has gone from being a crude, childish, insufferable imbecile, to being a crude, childish, fractionally-sufferable imbecile.
It all started out so simply, so innocently, with a small, mutual sharing of something personal. We’ve never liked each other, and we still can barely tolerate each other as it is.
However, there is something between us. Some sort of tension that crackles every time I happen to glance into his eyes briefly; it is disconcerting.
Being a Winchester, I was taught to never be frightened of anything. I am not so sure that applies to something like this.
Life is preparing me for another irregularity; I can sense it. What is happening, will happen. It is inevitable, and I know that much.
The question is - will I be able to handle it?
Will Pierce?
-End
