I have a monstrous urge to tell the world of my Francis Mulcahey love. I don't know what it is, but I just find the man adorable. It may be the sweet, innocent smile. Or the glasses. I always was a glasses whore. Or... heck, he's just plain cute!
Anyway: I was watching an episode where Hawkeye is writing his will, and he gets pissed at this guy in a flashback and goes to deck him, and Mulcahey jumps on his back. And makes him fall over. And yells at him. And then goes and makes the guy look like an ass.
I think it about made my inner slasher collapse with glee. Mulcahey... on... Hawkeye's... back...
Though it did pose a moral problem in the fact that Alan Alda looks exactly like a shorter, slightly thinner version of my grandfather. That was mentally scarring, in its own way, but hey, it was pretty cute and... well, gay.
But then Mulcahey's just plain gay, now isn't he? Or maybe its his voice that makes him seem like that.
And that's about it for now, ladies and gents. So sorry to take up your time.

PS: Does anyone have any idea if this is actually the proper spelling of his name? I've seen variations of it, so I was wondering...

Date: 2003-11-24 09:03 am (UTC)Lol! Me too! When I was pretty young, like 1st or 2nd grade-ish one of the local TV stations ran reruns of M*A*S*H in the late afternoons and mom watched it everyday and so I'd usually cop a squat and watch too. I had the biggest crush on Father. The most mentally scarring part? To my 6 year old mind this man was a priest...and I attended a Catholic school...boy was I ever confused on why I liked a priest!

Date: 2003-11-24 02:53 pm (UTC)It would have been awful. What with the poor Father's spraining their backs when I jumped on them, and glasses being snatched off left and right...
