Title: Moving Past Regret
Author: Me
Pairing: Charles/Margaret
Rating: E (Corporal)
Disclaimer: Nope, don’t own anything. Don’t sue … no money.
Archive: Anywhere, just let me know.
Feedback: Would be appreciated - good or bad.
Spoilers: Minor ones for The Party and Goodbye, Farewell and Amen … they won’t ruin the episode for you.
Summary: None.

A/N: Post-war fic. It’s sort of an answer to the challenge I posted way back when in which authors were supposed to use the phrase “I still wish I knew what it felt like to kiss you.” And I know that some will argue that they *did* kiss in “Say No More”, but I’ve seen that kiss, and wouldn’t actually consider it a “kiss” kiss … and damn! Now I’m talking like Frank Burns!

This is dedicated to [livejournal.com profile] captain_lubey … she of the good ‘ship Charles/Margaret hope it’s okay and [livejournal.com profile] siggen who really wanted an angsty!Charles fic. This may not be *exactly* what you wanted, but hopefully you still sorta like it. I apologize for the shortness of it … I sort of ran out of steam. My Charles!muse and my Margaret!muse stopped cooperating with me, damn them!

Sorry if you get this numerous times ... I'm cross-posting it to a few different comms.

Awww... This was so sweet! I'm off for an exam, so I can't comment at length right now. Will later.

The pairing doesn't sit right with me but you make it work here, and the letter just read like Charles. It sounded just right. Well done, really good writing =)

I've got to vanish from all things non-RP more often. I come back to some great fic.

First off, I'm a fan of C/M. T/M too, but C/M has a spark to me. The note reads as pure Charles, and how Margaret comes back--that's so her.

Lovely job, Lisa.

Oddly, I was just today summarizing for a friend last year's wank in this comm, and thinking about how much you've grown as a writer. Wonderful to see it.
