All right, I've been remiss in maintaining tags and memories. However, they're now updated, and all new users who have made posts have tags. (
_grayswandir_, yours is grayswandir_--you can't have a leading underscore in a tag, apparently.)
I've added two other tags, as well--art and video. I didn't change the tags on art posts from icons to art, though; there was too much else to do. Please properly tag your posts with your username and the pairing(s) or character(s) in the post, as well as any others that are appropriate--icons, art, video, question, or misc.
I did notice that a lot of you have started using an alternate rating system of Army rankings. While that's fun, people may have different definitions or not know what you mean by these. So I'm going to ask that you use the following ratings system.
Movie Ratings: According to
leemal10, the MPAA has been known to go after communities and others who use these. Therefore, please avoid using the MPAA ratings.
Alternate System:
Everyone, or E
7 and up, or 7+
Thirteen and up, or 13+
Older teen, or 15+ (think corresponding to an R rating in the MPAA system)
Mature, or M
Mature must be labelled as such. Any fic with explicit sex or graphic violence, including rape, should have this rating.
Additionally, as to fic headers, something like the following should be used. It doesn't need to be exactly like this, but similar. Make sure to include the disclaimer.
Title (including part X of Y):
Author:
Pairing:
Rating:
Warnings:
Disclaimer:
Author's Notes:
Summary:
If you want to make memories easier on
teapot_yo and me, please note the title and rating (and maybe even your username and Part X of Y) in your subject line. We'd really appreciate it.
I'll add a link to this post in the userinfo, for quick reference. If you have any questions, or a suggestion for a new tag, feel free to ask in the comments.
As a side note--I switched our layout to an S2 style, so tags display on the front page, and they can actually be navigated back easily. I'm adding a link list now, as well, and it will link to the memories for the mod posts, this one in particular, and the Yahoo group. Check it out--
mash_slash.
Edit, October 19, 2006: A question recently came up about appropriate content for this community, specifically regarding rape content. Any content of that sort is completely acceptable, as long as it's noted in the header. Rape fic is a major turnoff for many people, so they should be able to avoid it if they so choose. The same applies to kinks and graphic descriptions of violence.
