Small Announcement

I spoke with arrogance, the maintainer of the community for the past four years, on Sunday, intending to bring up what's been going on recently, as well as maintaining the memories and such. She's no longer interested in M*A*S*H, and offered me the position of maintainer. I accepted, and wanted to let everyone know about the change.

I'd also like to ask for a couple of volunteers. I'm coming up on a final and midterms, not to mention two papers, and if anyone could assist with going through and adding fics and other posts to the memories or tagging them, I'd really appreciate it.

Now, a few questions. Is there anything you'd like to see here? Should the userinfo be changed (it will be altered, at least a bit, later), and if so, how? Do we need a new layout? I'm willing to spring for a paid account to get us a really great layout, if anyone will make it. What about a mood theme? Do you want any sort of impromptu challenges or contests? Input is endlessly valuable; let me know what you think, and changes, assuming they're wanted, will be implemented.

is this (http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b141/dromiceiomimus/tagswtf.png) always how tag archives look? because frankly that's ugly. but if there's nothing we can do then that's cool. LMAO i really didn't mean that to sound presumptuous. seriously, it's not that ugly. it's kind of endearing. WHATEVS. i feel like it's not really the number one priority right now?

i don't know anything about tags, which is why i'm unsure as to how normal archives look. i'm reading up on them now though and i am soon going to be ready to be a permamod! oh yeah.

i will begin with fics that are slightly less ambiguous, but just for future reference:

if something isn't already rated, should we
a) contact the author,
b) assign our own rating, or
c) omit the rating from the link?

just wondering, and like i said, i'll start with fics that are rated, just so as to get something done tonight.

If the author is easy to contact (say...janecarnall or hawkeyesmartini), we should contact them and get them to rate it. Other than that, though, we should rate them ourselves. I just don't want someone who's not looking for violence/sex/coarse language to accidentally read it, you know?

So for um things like this (http://community.livejournal.com/mash_slash/108527.html), is it okay that I just memory'd that as "Assorted Drabbles"? I tried to make each cut a different memory and it wouldn't let me. Suggestions?

AHAHAHAHA SERIOUSLY I HATE THAT I AM THIS INCOMPETANT. I'm like a quarter of the way through the Hawkeye/BJ tag. Maybe.

also (and i have not really encountered this problem yet as lmao i am tagging by pairing, but... you know), what would you like me to do for gen fic? should i just omit the pairing from the general labelling form, or should i write in gen, do you think?

all right SERIOUSLY i'm so sorry for smapping but i really do need to write this down somewhere i'll SEE IT or i will become lame and fail things up.

for some reason i started with the hawkeye/bj tag. i don't really know why this happened, it just did. however, i don't know how to access anything beyond the first page. (i win at computer lameness i think.) so at this point, to capitalize on the productivity i am feeling right now, i am just going to go right down the list of tag names, in terms of pairings, not authors. someone give me a holla and tell me how to get the rest of the hawkeye/bj tag and i will handle it then.

IN SUMMATION:

hawkeye/bj = not done. only the first page. stopped at mijmeraar's drabbles.
everything else = going down the tags in alphabetical order by pairing.

Those are all Hawkeye/BJ, so you can memory them all as such.
