Maybe it’s perverse, but I want to be able to tell people what Hawkeye and I are to each other without fearing that we’ll be shunned or worse.

Maybe it’s perverse, but I want to meet Hawkeye under a Chuppah one day to make a life time commitment to him.

Maybe it’s perverse, but I want what BJ and Peggy could have, if they wanted it. The right to adopt a child with Hawkeye, should that be what he wants.

Maybe it’s perverse, but I want for Hawkeye and I to have the same freedoms, the same responsibilities, and the same right as any other couple in love.

Maybe it’s perverse that I want all of these things, but I can’t help it for all these things are important to me and are what everyone else takes for granted.

Or maybe it is the fact everyone else takes that for granted which is perverse.
