Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I created this journal as a place for me to talk about M*A*S*H, since I think I was driving some of my friends a bit crazy talking about M*A*S*H on my normal LJ. I figured I should join communities with fellow M*A*S*H fans.
I've only recently discovered fanfiction (and slash) and at first wasn't sure what I thought about it, but as I recently found myself actually writing a piece of fanfiction, I decided I must like the stuff.
I grew up watching the show in reruns, but only really became a serious fan when I bought the season 1 dvds on a whim. This year I've been showing the dvds to people in my dorm one episode a night and I'm slowly creating more fans. I think the reason I like M*A*S*H so much is it has a combination of classy humor while still delivering a big, important message. That, and the characters just feel so real.

Still haven't seen Goodbye, Farewell and Amen, but one of my dormmates has a copy and I'll be showing it in May, just before I graduate. I'm having trouble resisting borrowing it and watching it sooner.

While I like the earlier episodes, I like the later ones much better. I think partly this is because I saw them first (I was really confused the first time I saw Henry and Trapper) and mostly because BJ is definitely my favorite character

That's about it for now. Just a quick question - is this community only for slash, or are non-slashy fanfics allowed too?.
