...

After seeing what has been going on this past week, I'm very glad I wasn't keeping up. And that's all I'll say about that.

I do want to post and share my M*A*S*H moment of the week, which happened yesterday and was cool.

I'd written a book review for the book for my English class, and my teacher came up to me later and said, "I had no idea it was a book and a movie. I thought it was all based off of Joseph Heller."

I replied, "Nope." (I can't stand Catch-22)

Then he said, "I haven't seen the show since I was in like 3rd grade. I remember seeing the final show and bawling over it."

Then I was like, "That was on on Monday! I was crying so much!"

And then someone else got into the conversation and it changed from M*A*S*H. Unfortunately.

There's my story...does anyone else have one?

Can i switch places with you? No? Didn't think so ;)

Heh! The only MASH story I have is that I got my MASH t-shirt today! Got it on Ebay. It's awesome! Can't wait until spring so I can wear it!!!

Fifteen percent of my and [livejournal.com profile] ph34rthedra0n's conversations are composed of M*A*S*H quotes... so we really have more of a "MASH MOMENT OF THE HOUR" as opposed to a MASH moment of the week.

Sad, but true.

We are just entirely too pathetic, aren't we? XF

Our dialogue: 15% MASH, 20% Red Dwarf, 5% Doctor Who, 5% Kevin Smith, 10% various cartoons ... you get the idea.

one time after school, i was talking to my orchestra teacher, who is this really young, progressive, awesome dude, about an upcoming school social and accidentally referred to this kid mike as "this guy that i want to sleep with."

osburn: "...WHAT?"
me: "uhhh i don't know? there are a lot of guys that i'd like to sleep with but ummm i really never will, due to lack of reciprocated desire? and also i am not a whore?"
osburn: "ahahaha that sounds like hawkeye pierce!"
me: "ahahaha yeah, if you switched the genders it'd be totally true!"
osburn: ".... you really wouldn't even have to do that!"

and then he paused for a little while, and added, "except that hawkeye totally was a whore."

that's really all i've got, except that i named my fish heej last year, after having a conversation with my friend nick about the merits of calling the hawkeye/beej pairing "heej" in public. ("NO ONE WILL KNOW WHETHER YOU'RE REFERRING TO SEXY DOCTORS OR AN STD!")

i remember my japanese teacher [married male] telling us that back in the day, BJ was the heartthrob of the series, not hawkeye. i argued with him a lot over this

he was also very amused with the alan alda pictures on my diary, telling me he owed a lot to groucho marx...

BJ was the heartthrob of the series, not hawkeye
Hee! I can see that, actually XD

Yeah, I def. agree with him on the Marx bit. A LOT of the comedy on that show was based around the Marx brothers.

Ergh ditto. I cannot find those things anywhere.

Hardly any of my RL friends even know about M*A*S*H. I can relate, yo *pouts*

my friend and i debated the point a long time, citing mr alda's supreme attractiveness. and Mr Farrell's lack of hair

...we didn't often do much japanese in japanese

last week in english class my teacher was reading us a book called forever king *it was fun we were all sprawled around her like kindergardeners* and in the book it said "there were so many ferns there they could choke alan alda" i was the only one to laugh let alone the only one in class who knew who alan alda was *besides my teacher*. She looked over at me and smirked. The funny thing was i didnt get the joke really what was funny was that alan alda was mentioned in a novel required to read in class. Yea so theres my semiMASH story.
i got my MASH shirt at target. 10 bucks.i was wearing that shirt that day too haha.

Really? I may have to head to my nearest Walmart ... one can't have too many MASH tshirts ;)
