This author always uses literary techniques like repetition and alliteration very effectively. Not just for the sake of making it sound pretty, but to convey the real emotion behind the event. I haven't even seen the episode in question, but I completely understand the setting and the feelings contained. I particularly like the fact that this is a very short scene, timewise, something which, had the matter been different, could well have been one of those moments which editors leave on the cutting room floor, for the sake of saving a few seconds, but which could have changed the whole feel of the episode, or in this case the series! What I like most is that it fit, it didn't just take a potentially slashy moment and add a sex scene, in fact there was only a kiss, but it was still so charged!
